RIP Bob Sheppard →
inthefade: The voice of the New York Yankees - the “voice of god” according to Derek Jeter - died today. Bob Sheppard’s voice is the soundtrack to some of my best summer memories.  In my mind, there is no other voice that can instantly evoke a sense of place like Bob’s could. It will play forever in the back of my mind, like a favorite song. And he will always be saying Thurman Munson’s name.
